Optimize Inbound & Outbound Networks - A major motorcycle manufacturer wanted to identify cost saving opportunities and implementation strategies to streamline the distribution of both finished goods and after market parts through the dealer network.

Documented a base line AutoCad drawing of the facility, including building supports, dock doors and office space. We then establish storage type, (rack, floor, etc) depth and quantity by SKU. Using historical demand volumes, we then establish storage groupings by zones and position each SKU accordingly.

Analysis revealed a hub location network that resulted in 17% net distribution cost savings.
