Following our formalized systems selection methodology and knowledge of leading WMS options, our consultants drafted a formal request for quotation (RFQ), distributed to IT vendors, and conducted rounds of interviews and demonstrations. Using weighted criteria, the selection process identified the WMS that best fit important criteria, including specific functionality, integration capabilities with material handling equipment, cost, speed to implement, and scalability.
Results
The leading WMS vendor was identified and contracted. Implementation started at the first client facility two weeks later.
