Our Process

We want to talk with you about specific business challenges or symptoms.  It is important for us to understand your business, pain points, and expectations.  We will make introductions and ask lots of questions that will help us to develop an approach and identify potential deliverables.

We will discuss the project purpose, approach, timeline, resources, and deliverables.  If the critical factors are not apparent, we may take a half-step by setting up a “scoping project” for discovery and to determine the right approach for improvement opportunities.

We will submit a formal proposal, including typical contract terms with estimated consulting fees and expenses.

We will kick-off the project with key stakeholders and resources, and make sure that everyone understands objectives, approach, roles, deliverables and timelines.

This is the time when we roll up our sleeves and begin the real work.  While this step varies widely based on project objectives, it typically involves data collection and analysis, site visits, management interviews, research, gap analysis, solutions design,  and implementation planning.  It will conclude with a summary report.

This step focuses on discussion of the summary report with client leadership.  We present findings and deliverables, which typically include solution options, estimates and next steps.  This is a critical point when management must make decisions and commit to implementation. Turnaround projects differ in that they are much more iterative with frequent reviews, including actions taken.

Detailed planning and implementation are typically a separate Statement of Work (SOW) based on solutions previously defined and approved. 3PLR fully supports implementation of great ideas to transform your business. From implementation to stabilization, we incorporate metrics and controls to demonstrate and sustain positive impacts.  Your business success and our reputation depend on it.

He has served industries including industrial equipment, consumer goods, apparel, medical equipment, and grocery. Steve’s expertise spans sourcing, supplier integration, assembly, material flow, kitting, automation, transportation, facility design, and startup.
